A Healing Season

O God, our help in ages past,
our hope for years to come,
our shelter from the stormy blast,
and our eternal home.
Under the shadow of thy throne,
still may we dwell secure;
sufficient is thine arm alone,
and our defense is sure.
Before the hills in order stood,
or earth received her frame,
from everlasting, thou art God,
to endless years the same.
A thousand ages, in thy sight,
are like an evening gone;
short as the watch that ends the night,
before the rising sun.
Time, like an ever rolling stream,
bears all who breathe away;
they fly forgotten, as a dream
dies at the opening day.
O God, our help in ages past,
our hope for years to come;
be thou our guide while life shall last,
and our eternal home.
Hymn by  Isaac Watts, 1674-1748

Lovely, and that photo of you at the bottom is stunning. Would be so beautiful blown up on a canvas!

It gave me a warm thought to think that we were commenting on each other's blogs at the same time. Hope you're having a beautiful day!

"sufficient is thine arm alone,
and our defense is sure"

and - the photo of you. it is powerful and beautiful.

So glad to hear you are healing and making your self go slow, and finding beauty in hard things and that you are back to writing in this space again...your words and these images are a favorite devotional of mine. Because coming here I am constantly reminded that Jesus is always, only, ever faithful and true and good.

Praying for you that you will be able to continue to say with joy, all will be most well.xo
