One frozen fortnight
Parenthetical snow
Deliberate repression
Encounters with no

Four frost-bitten quarters
Walking down roads
Talking in whispers
Determined to know

A bench in the forest
Broken and freezing
Drifting down snowflakes
Emptied by heaving

In silent ululation
And coming unfrozen
I counted the crystals
Face upturned, choice chosen

I saw the umbilical
He named it space
Dissolved by the stillness
Abdication with grace

He said what is severed
Creates his expanse
That sacred detachment
Allows him to dance

Yes. I've been in this place too, I think. And it comforts me to know that I am not alone on the journey... your writing is very beautiful... and thanks, also, for stopping by my blog and leaving your kind comment.
